How to map a content to a particular sub-category ?

Within each category/genre, there may be dozens of sub-categories for audiences with even more specific tastes. A sub-category is a smaller and more specific genre within a broader category. Each Category can contain several sub-categories.

In Cadjin CMS, mapping a Sub-category to a content is an optional step (not mandetory). However, mapping sub-category to a content will guide your audiences to go for more specific tastes of contents.

Following steps will explain how to map category during new content creation flow.

Step-1: Log-in to the Cadjin CMS.

Step-2: In the left side menu, under Digital Library, go to the Content section.

Step-3: You can see Content List (If created any). To create a content, click on +Add Content button.

Step-4: In the first stage of a Content creation, select the Asset type and move to next step.i.e; Upload content and trailer.

Step-5: After uploading the required content file from the Asset Manager, click on Save & Next. Here you can give the basic information or Content details about your content. The basic information is such as Title of the content, Description, Thumbnail Image, Banner Image, Category, Sub-Category etc.

Step-6: Under the GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE CONTENT section, after selecting the Category(s), go to the Sub-category dropdown. In the Sub-category dropdown, it will show you previously created sub-categories which are under the Category(s) you have selected. Note that, the options in the Sub-Category is completely depends on the options in the Category(s) you have selected. Hence, it is advised to select the Category first, then go for the Sub-category selection.

Step-7: Then fill-up the fields in the next step and complete your content creation.

That's it ! You've successfully mapped the Sub-category to the new content.
