How to create a Artist metadata field ?

Metadata is defined as the data providing information about one or more aspects of the Asset or Conent in your ott platform. It is a powerful tool using which one can add a set of related questions which are going to ask during the creation of content. Followings are the steps to create a Metadata or Custom field.

Step-1: Log-in to the cadjin Platform.

Step-2: In the left side menu, go to the Metadata section.

Step-3: Under Metadata menu, you can find Custom Field. Here you can create and add fully customized metadata related to any content, artist or venue/location etc.

Step-4: In Custom Field, first give a Name to your Metadata Field.

Step-5: Then select the Entity Type to which the new Metadata is going to associate/relate. In the dropdown menu, you can find three entity types i.e. Content, Artist and Venue. Select Artist. (Usually Artist refers to an individual such as Actor, Director, Singer, Musician, Trainer, Instructor, Anchor etc.)

Step-6: After selecting the Entity Type, select the Field Type. This refers to the UI controls that allow you to make a selection. Here you can found four types of Field Type, i.e.(a) Dropdown , (b) Checkboxes, (c) Multiple Choice and (d) Text Field.

Step-7:After selecting the Field Type, give the possible options related to Content.

Hints: For example, a custom metadata 'Genre' of music can be associated to an Artist. Here the possible options (or Field type) can be Rock, Jazz, Pop or Country music.(See image below)
